The Entrepreneurial Reverie
Author: Sonam Chopra
Someone once rightly said, ”I could either watch it or make it happen”. It simply means that each of us has the choice to choose our life situation and to create our own future. It was a proud moment for Mr. Joydeep Chakraborty, CMD of the Elder Care Initiative, WhenAt60 Solutions to address a group of young entrepreneurs on 25th November, 2014 in the entrepreneurship school, Gurgaon who believed in making things happen and take the leap towards the path of entrepreneurship.
The room enveloped to a nearly two hour session of budding entrepreneurs glued in understanding the seeding of an idea to make senior citizens rejoice and not retire in their lives to creating a business venture today known as WhenAt60 Solutions which is a service industry that helps elderly people to increase their happiness and emotional quotient. The idea of starting up was spelt clearly through the use of a startup triangle which manifested to the students mapping the three corners of the triangle i.e. the problem they are trying to solve with their idea, the market segment it is targeted to and the scalability. Extending this thought, the talk shoved the experiential path in carving the development timelines of Whent60, the marketing strategy entailed awareness building for the first 18 months and how the business reached the acceleration mode. The strategy is to try it out, experiment it rather just thinking about it. The audience, especially Mr. Sanjeeva Shivesh, CEO of the entrepreneurship school asked pertinent questions which could actually maneuver students path of entrepreneurship more smoothly and give a kick-start to their ideas.
It also imbibed in them a journey which is walked with belief in their idea and strong conviction to bring a change when the rest of the world doesn’t believe in them and their mechanisms of work. Traversing all the odds and surpassing all challenges with head held high leads to sunshine and immense opportunities.
Post the session, Joydeep was swarmed with inquisitive students in assisting them in making their idea a reality. Here’s a glimpse of the entrepreneurial reverie….
